US Cellar Cooling Units Technical Update on LPQ Coil

LPQ Series by US Cellar Systems - Fan Motor

LPQ Series by US Cellar Systems – Fan Motor

US Cellar Systems recently had a technical upgrade on their LPQ Wine Cellar Refrigeration Systems. The upgrades applied on the LPQ Coil have improved the cooling system’s ability to provide wine storage structures with the ideal conditions for storing and aging wines.

Technical Upgrades to the LPQ Coil – 2 Changes Made

With many years of experience and knowledge in wine cellar refrigeration manufacturing, Dan Phillips, the owner of US Cellar Systems, makes it his passion to continue to improve this company’s products and services to better serve their clients. Recently, US Cellar Systems has announced a few upgrades to the LPQ coil, and these include the following:

1. Aluminum Stub for Drain Line

The first change built into the LPQ coil is the aluminum stub tube for the drain line at a 45-degree angle off the back. It has now been changed to a ½ inch male pipe thread coupling directing straight down. This upgrade makes it much more convenient to attach to PVC tubing.

2. Fan Motor Wiring

The wiring of the LPQ wine cellar split-type cooling units’ fan motors has also been upgraded. The fan motor is a multi-speed motor but it is only used on the medium speed, which is 900 RPM.

When you do the wiring, you will notice that there are 3 wires for the fan motor: 1 red, 1 black, and 1 white. Also, you will find that the Solenoid Valve has 2 wires, which are both blue. When connecting the fan motor’s wires, ignore the red wire. It is not used. One of the blue wires should be connected to the black wire. If you are using US Cellar Systems wire harness, you will connect the black and blue wire to the red wire coming from the controller. The other blue wire will be connected to the white wire, and then that will be connected to the neutrals. It’s basically as easy as that.
